Resume Template: Left School & No Work Experience

You should use this resume template as a starting point if you've left school early (before completing Year 12) but have little, or no, formal work experience.

If you haven't had an actual job before, there's still plenty that you can include on your resume, like your education, any work experience, job placements, internships or volunteering that you've done.

You can also include information about your activities outside school and work, but only if it's relevant to the job you're applying for. For example, if you're going for a job in childcare, any babysitting work you've done is definitely worth including.

Don't worry if your resume ends up being only one page. As long as the things that are on your resume are relevant to the job, that's fine. It's much better for a resume to be shorter rather than padding it out with irrelevant information.

Try not to let your resume go over two pages, though, unless you absolutely need more than two pages to show how perfect you are for the job.
