If you can't volunteer on a regular basis, there are many annual events you can volunteer at or participate in throughout the year. Like all kinds of volunteering, helping out at an annual event isn't just fun, it's also a great way to gain new skills and experiences and meet all kinds of people. Here's a list of some of the main annual events where you can volunteer.
For a more comprehensive list of organisations seeking volunteers, and other tips about getting involved in volunteering, check out I Can Do That (new window) the Victorian Government's volunteer information resource that helps volunteers and volunteer organisations.
