Roving Reporter Profile : Laura J, National Youth Week Young Member 2011,

Hi guys,

I’m Laura, your National Youth Week Young Member for 2011. I represent Victorian young people and help organise the celebrations for National Youth Week (April 1-10).

National Youth Week is all about celebrating the amazing things that Victorian young people are achieving, from creating social change to achieving academic excellence and sporting success.

I’ve been lucky enough to meet lots of great young people through the Multicultural Multifaith Youth Network (a group of diverse young people from different cultures who consult with government) and the Oaktree Foundation (an entirely youth run aid and development organisation). But I’m looking forward to meeting many more through my role as Young Member.

If you see me around Monash University (I’m studying Arts/Law) or at my part time job at Spendless Shoes, make sure you stop and say hi - I’d love to hear your story.
