Title:
Always Have Family
Story By:
Sam
Description:
Sam's story is centered in Lake Hindmarsh, his home and once Victoria's largest freshwater lake. It has since dried up due to the drought, leaving the community in a state of devastation.
Sam focuses on growing up in a drought-stricken community. It discusses the way individuals within the community deal with the situation. He believes that family is the most important thing.
His story really makes our own petty complaints of shorter showers and dried up garden beds somewhat trivial. Sam's optimistic view of the importance of family reminds us that blood is indeed thicker than water.
