Bushfire Recovery

Bushfire RecoveryOn 7 February 2009 bushfires devastated 109 towns and 33 communities across Victoria, destroyed more than 2400 properties and damaged around 430,000 hectares of land. Many lives were lost in these fires.

Three years after this tragedy the recovery process continues. The Victorian Government's Fire Recovery Unit has released the Victorian Bushfire Recovery Three Year Report, which details the recovery efforts, from reconstruction to economic recovery and the ongoing support programs available to help families and individuals.

For anyone affected by the bushfires, there are many resources available to provide comfort and assistance.
