The Kings of Mykonos: Wog Boys 2Ten years after the original, Steve Karamitsis (Gianopoulos) and Frank (Colosimo) are back as the wog boys.

Proving to be an Australian smash hit when it was released in 2000, The Wog Boy grossed AU$13.4 million. The sequel, The Kings of Mykonos: Wog Boy 2, picks up a couple of years after the first. Steve and his best buddy Frank take their Travolta-inspired dance moves and love for automobiles to Mykonos.

The film kicks off with Steve's shop and car being repossessed. Luckily a phone call about a mysterious inheritance has both Steve and Frank on the next plane to the Greek island of Mykonos. Uncle Panos has died and left a beach and a tavern worth 2.5 million euros.

Arriving at the Island, Steve meets his estranged family and experiences local culture and customs. He discovers "Greekonomics" - a dynamic and economic stimulus package which basically means giving your relatives freebies.

Mykonos looks beautiful on screen, with its rocky centre and sun-kissed beaches. It's a fresh setting for the familiar characters. While the plot is good, though, it felt a little outdated. Essentially it's the same façade with a fresh coat of paint.

Alex Dimitriades makes an excellent villain. The two love interests, Zeta Makypoulis and Cosima Coppola, are great value. However the comedy, though entertaining, often falls flat.

The Kings of Mykonos is a light-hearted comedy that's very relaxed and easy to take in. I wouldn't go out of my way to see this movie again, but it was enjoyable nonetheless.
