What are we looking for?
The kind of things we're happy to consider publishing include:
- Opinion pieces
- Interviews
- General articles
- Videos
- Audio
How long can an article be?
- Text pieces should be no longer than 800 words and accompanied by at least two photographs or images.
- Videos should be no longer than 5 minutes.
- Audio should be no longer than 10 minutes.
What format should they be in?
- Text should be submitted as a word document.
- Images should be submitted in .jpg format.
- Audio can be submitted in either .wav or .mp3 format.
- Video should be submitted in .mov, .avi or .mpeg format.
How to submit an idea
Click on the box in the right-hand margin of this page to get to our Submit an idea page. Use the form there to give us some basic contact details and a brief description of your idea.
If we like your proposal we'll get in touch for a bit more of a chat to talk about refining the idea (if necessary) and setting deadlines for submission.
Even if it has been written about before, it's still worth getting in touch - we might have some ideas about coming at the idea from a different angle.
Remember, it's always a good idea to have a bit of a look through our News & features pages to see if what you want to write about has already been covered. You can also us our Search engine (right up there in the top right-hand corner) to see if your area of interest has been written about before.
Your article should be published within 3-4 weeks of being submitted.
