Meet the Roving Reporters

Luke is a loud and proud North Melbourne boy, though he hates North Melbourne Football Club with a passion.

Luke doesn’t aspire to be anything in particular, but is interested in journalism and psychology. However, whatever Luke chooses to do he wants it to have some link to social justice.

Luke is heavily involved in social justice movements. For example, he is not eating chocolate for a whole year to raise money for and awareness of child labour.

He is also involved in a program at his school (University High) called schools for schools, which is trying to build a school in Mali so that people less fortunate also have a chance of getting an education. Once Luke has completed his year of not eating chocolate he will donate all the money raised to schools for schools.

As far as his very captivating writing skills go Luke has been published in The Under Age (which is a journalism program run by The Age) and a few short story awards, and now youthcentral!
