Meet the Roving Reporters
Roving Reporter Profile : Nuhtaya,
Nuhtaya is a keen young writer with a love of music and a passion for dull and uninteresting sandwiches. "Egg and lettuce," she says when asked about her ideal. "Maybe salad and beetroot." Don’t hold it against her. This young vegetarian lacks meat-free options, not imagination.
Focus on "keen" - that’s important. This roving reporter was so eager to see the world that she beat her way from her mother’s womb three months early to do so. "There was no problem, she just went into labour three months early," she says. "No issues at all, I was fine."
Nuhtaya’s taste in music might have you thinking she was born even earlier than she was. "I like old music, like Guns and Roses, Black Sabbath, Motorhead - that kind of thing," she says. It’s not all classic rock that she listens to, though. There are a few artists she likes that don’t qualify for an old age pension, but she draws the line at pop and dance music.
A native of Bendigo, Nuhtaya has written widely and hopes to broaden her experience before heading down to Melbourne and covering the city’s music scene. "I want to be a music journalist, writing reviews and interviews," she says.
