Tests and evaluates new and modified software applications to ensure they operate as specified. This involves the identification and reporting of errors, re-testing and revision of software with the highest attention to detail, following stringent quality procedures, standards and methodologies. Testers liaise regularly with users and work closely with System Developers in articulating faults and offering advice and alternate solutions. Testers must have an understanding of programming logic and the full system development life cycle.
