Xavier Rudd live @ Horsham Centre Cinemas

Xavier RuddWhen Xavier Rudd's Australian White Moth tour landed at the Horsham Centre Cinemas he played to a nearly full house.

The opening act for the concert, Canadian Jeremy Fisher, entertained with catchy tunes such as "High School", warming the crowd and magnifying the excitement in the air for the lead act himself.

Rudd's new album, White Moth, is an album which he refers to as his "proudest work". The concert consisted mostly of new songs from the White Moth album and a few instrumentals exhibiting his highly honed didgeridoo skills. However to the delight of many Rudd indulged in a few songs from previous and successful albums such as "Let me Be", which led to the audience rising out of their seats in approval.

Although Rudd's initial hesitation to interact with the audience during song transitions led to a few awkward moments from both the stage and the audience, as the gig proceeded the atmosphere became electric and a successful Xavier Rudd joke overcame this.

The White Moth tour leg in Horsham was thoroughly enjoyable for all the ages. Rudd's new album is sure to eclipse the success of his previous work and his skill as a live act enhanced by his multi-instrument abilities left the audience in awe and ecstasy.
