Key industries
Major industries in the Mallee area include agriculture (dairy, beef, sheep, wool, pigs, grain, fruit and vegetables, viticulture), forestry and fishing, retail trade, manufacturing (fresh food, red gum furniture, engineering, salt and wine), hospitality and tourism (particularly in the Murray area) and health and community services.
