National Youth Week 2016

National Youth WeekNational Youth Week is an annual, week-long celebration of young people (aged 12–25) throughout Australia.

It is a joint initiative of the Australian, State, Territory and Local Governments. It gives you an opportunity to express your ideas and views, and act on issues that affect your lives. It also lets you have a lot of fun.

Each year, all over Australia, events are planned and organised to celebrate and recognise the contribution of young people. In 2015 more than 20,000 young people from across Victoria participated in National Youth Week activities.

National Youth Week 2016 will be held from 8 April to 17 April 2016.

Grants Announced

In partnership with the Australian Government, the Victorian Government is again providing National Youth Week grants of up to $2,000 to fund events that celebrate and recognise the contribution of young Victorians to their community.

On 8 February 2016 the Minister for Youth Affairs Jenny Mikakos MP announced more than $225,000 in funding for 115 organisations to stage events across Victoria as part of National Youth Week 2016.
