Automotive

The automotive industry consists of car manufacturers, component, tooling, design and engineering firms as well as businesses that retail, repair and service vehicles.

Many companies in the automotive industry are located throughout Victoria.

Many jobs in the automotive industry start out through automotive apprenticeships, which allow you to combine work and training. An automotive apprenticeship typically takes four years if you do it full time. There are also some traineeships and apprenticeships that take one or two years.

Find out more about automotive apprenticeships from the Victorian Automotive Chamber of Commerce website.
