Volunteer Champions Awards
Nominations for the 2017 Victorian Premier’s Volunteer Champions Awards are now open.
Volunteering is a big part of the life of many Victorians. The variety of volunteering that takes place in Victoria is inspiring. The Volunteer Champions Awards celebrate Victoria's volunteers of all ages and from all walks of life. They showcase the wide range of services, activities and support that volunteers provide to Victoria's people, communities and causes.
This year's awards will formally recognise up to 60 volunteers across four categories:
- Leadership – Recognising volunteers who motivate, encourage and empower people and communities.
- Impact – Acknowledging volunteers who have had a significant, positive and lasting effect.
- Service – Paying tribute to community-minded people who have made long-term and selfless contributions.
- Teamwork – Celebrating the power of collaboration and demonstrating that group effort can achieve great outcomes.
The winners of these awards, the people who nominate them, and their guests will be invited to a celebration and award ceremony in December 2017 in Melbourne.
At the ceremony, the Dame Elisabeth Murdoch Award for the Premier's Volunteer of the Year will be chosen and announced from recipients across all categories.
