Meet the Roving Reporters

Roving Reporter Profile : Jack,

Jack was delivered to his parents in the town of Bairnsdale by a stork when he was seven months old. Since then he’s made a habit of growing up. Bob the builder and Aqua got him through his primary school years while Rage and Coldplay helped him through puberty.

Now a fully-fledged man (apparently) he’s all about anything that includes a piano, harp and a female lead (think Florence + The Machine). Spending six months in the US of A, Coachella, SXSW, Ultra and Bonnaroo have been ticked off the music festival list, with a quick jaunt to Ireland getting his socks blown off by Oxegen.

Back home in Australia he is a definitely festival floozy. Calling Melbourne home since '08 has allowed this musically obsessed man to hit Falls, Stereosonic, Parklife, Pyramid Rock, Laneway, Big Day Out, Sounds Loud, Splendour in The Grass and Push Over. The remainder of his cash goes to local gigs.

Recently completing a degree at RMIT in journalism, Jack’s all about live music, photography, volunteering on community radio, spending late nights with you on triple j mid-dawns, contributing to magazines and websites and jumping around your TV screens on the c31 music show 1700.

When not running amuck on festival grounds or getting a grooving dance style on at Melbourne’s finest establishments you’ll catch Jack people-watching on the State Library lawn, listening too loudly to music on public transport, downing five coffees a day or trawling the internet for the latest and greatest in music.
