Other study options

If you’ve left school and aren't going on to uni or TAFE, there are other options for continuing your studying or training. There are also options if you're a mature-age student or are taking time off from study.

  • Deferring your studies

If you are not sure that more study is what you want to do right away then deferring might be an option.
  • Training with Learn Local

Learn Local is a practical option giving you the skills to get a job, get a better job or go on to further education.
  • Learning as a mature age student

Returning to study as a mature age student can be a positive step forward in your career and personal life.
  • Taking a gap year

Taking a gap year means taking a year off between finishing high school and starting further study or training.

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Victoria and pay respects to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge that Aboriginal self-determination is a human right and recognise the hard work of many generations of Aboriginal people.

We are committed to safe and inclusive workplaces, policies, and services for people from LGBTIQA+ communities and their families.
