Scouts Victoria has released a very special video story of a Syrian refugee family. Omar (21) and Saad (18) are brothers who were active in Scouting in Syria. After a dangerous journey to Beirut and Cairo their family was granted refugee visas and came to Australia, where they are once again active in scouting as members as part of the Cleve Cole Rover Crew in Watsonia.
This video reinforces many of Scouting's values: it is an international organisation, a movement for peace, and one that welcomes all.
These are the messages that Scouts Victoria wishes to communicate through this positive and inspirational story.
